Cyclone

Warrior's signature AoE channel. 4-second spin that hits every nearby enemy and stacks Multistrike.

Cyclone

Cyclone is the Warrior’s signature AoE channel — a 4-second spinning slash that hits every enemy within melee range once per tick. Each tick rolls Multistrike independently, making Cyclone the cornerstone of the Berserker playstyle.

How it works

PropertyValue
TypeActive (channel)
TargetAoE (8 m radius around caster)
Cooldown8s
ElementPhysical
Resource cost8 Rage per tick (32 total)
Duration4s (4 ticks)
Tick rateEvery 1s

Cyclone deals weapon-scaled physical damage to every enemy in an 8-meter radius around the caster. The caster is locked in place for the duration but gains 30% damage reduction while channeling. Multistrike procs are rolled independently per tick, so over the 4 ticks you expect ~2.4 procs at rank 5 Multistrike.

Rotation

  1. Wild Charge into a pack of enemies to close distance.
  2. Cyclone immediately — the channel locks you in place.
  3. Fury is consumed during the channel — make sure you have full Rage before committing.
  4. Cancel out with Wild Charge to a fresh pack if needed.

The optimal Cyclone opener is detailed on the Berserker wiki page.

Stacking

Cyclone’s damage scales with Strength, Multistrike chance, and Multistrike damage. The talent tree offers:

  • Cyclone Damage +12% at talent rank 3.
  • Cyclone Tick Rate +25% (5 ticks over 4s instead of 4) at talent rank 7.
  • Cyclone Crit +6% at talent rank 10.

Endgame Cyclone builds invest all 10 talent points into the Cyclone subtree before branching out.

FAQ

Q: Does Cyclone interrupt casts? A: No — channeled skills like Cyclone do not interrupt enemy casts. Use Shield Bash for interrupts.

Q: Can you move during Cyclone? A: No — the channel locks you in place. The 30% damage reduction is meant to compensate.

Q: Is Cyclone worth using outside AoE packs? A: No — Cyclone’s per-tick damage is identical to a regular weapon swing, so single-target use is a DPS loss. Save it for 3+ enemies.
