Priest
The Priest is the advanced healer class unlocked by advancing an Acolyte at Job Level 50. Where the Acolyte is a steady single-target healer, the Priest unlocks group heals, resurrection, and Sanctuary for the most powerful support role in SpiritVale.
Overview
The Priest retains every Acolyte skill (Heal, Healing Wind, Blessing, Smite, Judgement, Guardian Light) and adds:
- Sanctuary: cast a 10m AoE that heals allies inside for 8% max HP per second and removes one debuff per tick.
- Sacred Aegis: applies a shield to target that absorbs 30% max HP. Self-castable.
- Resurrection: revive a dead party member with 30% HP, 10-minute cooldown.
- Holy Word: Chastise: holy damage spell that stuns undead for 4s.
In combat, the Priest’s identity is prevention, not reaction. Sanctuary is dropped BEFORE damage hits, Sacred Aegis is cast BEFORE the boss pulls, Resurrection is the panic button.
The Priest dominates endgame PvE. Every raid has at least one Priest, and most have two. Their healing throughput is unmatched.
Priest evolves from the Acolyte and is the only class the Acolyte can advance into.
Stat priority
- Spirit — healing scaling, crit, mana regen.
- Vitality — survival.
- Intelligence — minor Smite damage; tertiary.
Same logic as Acolyte, but the soft cap on Spirit raises to 50% crit chance for Priests in endgame content — crit heals are double-heals and Sanctuary crits heal the entire party.
Skill tree
10m AoE: 8% max HP/s + cleanse per tick.
Shield target for 30% max HP, 12s.
Revive target, 30% HP.
Holy damage + stun undead for 4s.
Single-target heal.
AoE heal.
+10% all stats for 30 min.
-50% damage to target for 5s.
The Sanctified 4-piece (Lv 60+) is mandatory: +20% Healing Wind effectiveness. Endgame: Sanctified 4 + Beacon 2 for crit heals that boost the whole party.
Cards to chase:
- Healing Hands (from Acolyte, applies).
- Beacon of Light (from Acolyte, applies).
- Resurrectionist (Lv 100 dungeon) — Resurrection cooldown reduced by 2 min.
- Soul Bond (from Acolyte, applies).
Leveling (Lv 51–70)
Priest levels moderately. Solo, you’ll need Smite + Judgement + Chastise to kill things. In groups, you’ll be overleveled by running Echoing Grotto as the dedicated healer.
Endgame
Endgame Priests are the most in-demand role in PvE. Sanctuary + Sacred Aegis + Resurrection means a single Priest can solo-heal most raids.
The PvE meta favors crit-heavy Priests — Spirit until 50% crit, then Vitality. The Mitre of Sanctity (drop in Sanctum of Light) is the #1 endgame Priest hat.
FAQ
Q: Is Priest the strongest healer? A: Yes, by a wide margin. No other class comes close to Priest’s group healing output.
Q: Can I play solo as a Priest? A: Slow but viable. Chastise + Heal spam kills most enemies; it just takes longer than other classes.
Q: What’s the most important stat? A: Spirit until 50% crit. After that, Vitality.
