Range control, crit, and Multistrike rifles

Gunslinger

The Gunslinger is the advanced ranged physical class unlocked by advancing a Scout at Job Level 50. Where the Scout relies on Steady Shot and Vulnerability, the Gunslinger adds Multistrike on rifle shots and Roll the Dice on Six for the most crit-heavy ranged class in the game.

Overview

The Gunslinger retains every Scout skill and adds:

  • Multistrike: passive — rifle attacks have a 35% chance to strike twice. (Higher than Berserker’s base multistrike.)
  • Fan the Hammer: 6-shot burst, each shot at 80% damage, used to apply Vulnerability fast.
  • Roll the Dice on Six: every 6th shot is a guaranteed crit with +100% damage.
  • Lucky Bullet: passive — kills have 5% chance to refund an entire Steady Shot cooldown.

In combat, the Gunslinger’s rotation is Fan the Hammer → Steady Shot x6 → repeat. Fan the Hammer applies 6 stacks of Vulnerability in one global cooldown, and Roll the Dice on Six guarantees one massive crit every cycle.

The Gunslinger is the single most consistent ranged DPS class — even on weaker gear, Multistrike + crit make Steady Shot reliable. On best-in-slot gear, the Gunslinger becomes the #1 sustained damage dealer in the game.

Gunslinger evolves from the Scout and is the only class the Scout can advance into.

Stat priority

  1. Agility — crit, attack speed, ranged damage.
  2. Vitality — survivability when something closes the gap.
  3. Spirit — minor crit; tertiary.

Same as Scout, but the crit cap raises to 45-50% for Gunslinger builds.

## Equipment & cards

The Hawkeye 4-piece (Lv 60+) is mandatory: +15% Steady Shot damage. Endgame: Hawkeye 4 + Sharpshooter 2 for crit-heavy builds.

Cards to chase:

  • Lone Wolf (from Scout, applies).
  • Bullseye (from Scout, applies).
  • Six-Shooter (from Scout, applies).
  • Multistrike Lens (Lv 100 dungeon) — Multistrike chance increased to 45%.

Leveling (Lv 51–70)

Gunslinger levels fast. Fan the Hammer trivializes any pull by stacking Vulnerability in one GCD. The biggest level-up tip: pair Fan the Hammer with Multi-Shot to clear packs in seconds.

Endgame

Endgame Gunslingers are the #1 sustained ranged damage dealer in the game. Roll the Dice on Six + Multistrike + Steady Shot makes your damage output consistent, predictable, and high. Most raid bosses in The Echoing Spire have Gunslinger as the top parse.

The PvE meta favors rifle weapons with attack speed + crit + multistrike substats.

FAQ

Q: Is Gunslinger just a better Scout? A: Yes. Always advance at Lv 50.

Q: Why is my Roll the Dice not triggering? A: It triggers on every 6th hit. If you whiff on basic attacks, count resets. Steady Shot is guaranteed to count because it always lands.

Q: Should I ever use a bow? A: No. The Multistrike passive only applies to rifles. Bow is suboptimal at endgame.
