Base class Ranged

Scout

Ranged gunner; advances to Gunslinger

Scout

The Scout is SpiritVale’s ranged physical class. With a rifle and a quiver of utility shots, the Scout kites from medium range, applies Vulnerability, and uses Dodge Roll to stay just out of melee. Pick this if you want the ranged gameplay loop without the mana management of a Mage.

Overview

The Scout fires from mid range (12-18m optimal). Their kit revolves around three weapon types: rifle (high single-target damage), bow (fast attack speed, lower damage), and crossbow (AoE piercing). Each weapon has a unique auto-attack animation and ammo type — switching mid-combat is allowed but costs a 1.5s cast.

Vulnerability is the Scout’s signature debuff: each stack increases damage taken by 8%, capped at 5 stacks. With Steady Shot and Quick Shot applying Vulnerability on every hit, a competent Scout can have the entire pack at 5 stacks within 4-5 seconds.

Mobility is the Scout’s defense. Dodge Roll rolls 8m in any direction with no cooldown (has charges that regenerate). Disengage is a 12m knockback shot. Feign Death lets you drop aggro entirely.

Scout advances into the Gunslinger at Job Level 50. Gunslinger adds Multistrike on rifle shots, Fan the Hammer, and Roll the Dice on Six for the most crit-heavy ranged class in the game.

Stat priority

  1. Agility — crit, attack speed, ranged damage bonus.
  2. Vitality — survivability when something reaches you.
  3. Spirit — small crit bonus; tertiary.

Aim for 30-40% crit with full buffs. Scout crit scaling is the steepest in the game.

Equipment & cards

The Tracker’s 2-piece (Lv 20 dungeon) is the starter set: +8% Agility. At Lv 50, swap to Hawkeye (4-piece — +15% Steady Shot damage). Endgame: Hawkeye 4 + Sharpshooter 2 for crit-heavy builds.

Cards to chase:

  • Lone Wolf (Lv 25 dungeon) — +10% damage when no allies within 8m.
  • Bullseye (Lv 50 dungeon) — Steady Shot deals +20% damage on vuln targets.
  • Six-Shooter (Lv 90 dungeon) — +12% crit chance.

Leveling (Lv 1–50)

Scout levels smoothly. Stay at 15m range, kite in circles, drop Multi-Shot when packs close in. Quick Shot is your builder for Vulnerability — keep it ticking.

By Lv 35 you can solo Echoing Grotto bosses if you keep Vulnerability stacked.

Endgame

Endgame Scouts (post-Gunslinger) are ranged single-target kings. With Multistrike rolling crit after crit, Steady Shot hits for astronomical damage per second.

The PvE meta favors rifle weapons with attack speed + crit substats. Bow has higher theoretical DPS but lower consistency for boss fights.

FAQ

Q: Scout or Gunslinger — which is better? A: Gunslinger is a strict upgrade. Scout is the leveling version; you should advance at Lv 50.

Q: Can I use a bow effectively? A: Bow is excellent for mob clearing. For boss fights, rifle pulls ahead.

Q: How does Vulnerability interact with party damage? A: Vulnerability is a raid-wide debuff — your whole party benefits from each stack. This is why high-level Scouts are valued in groups.
