Set bonus

The Drowned King set is a 2-piece collection. Bonuses:

  • 2 pieces: +15% Multistrike, Water Breathing (you can breathe underwater indefinitely)
  • Single Trident: +15% Multistrike only

The Water Breathing effect is the unique selling point — it lets you explore underwater areas without consumables.

How to get it

The Trident drops from the Kraken world boss in Sunken Depths. Drop rate is 25% per kill (the highest of any Kraken drop).

  • Party size: 10-20 players recommended.
  • Respawn timer: 72 hours server-wide.
  • Alternative: buy from the AH for ~25,000 gold.

Best recipients

  • Berserker — BiS weapon through the entire Lv 100+ tier. The +15% Multistrike stacks with the Multistrike passive.
  • Warrior — strong alternative to Cursed Greatsword.
  • Shinobi — strong alternative to backstab-focused weapons.
  • Necromancer — usable but the Multistrike passive is wasted on caster builds.

FAQ

Q: Does Water Breathing work in all underwater zones? A: Yes — Sunken Depths, Mystic Lake, and any other underwater area.

Q: Is the Trident better than the Aegis of the First Knight? A: For DPS, yes (15% Multistrike > raw stats). For tanking, no — the Aegis has better defense.

Q: Can the Trident drop on a character that’s not in the killing party? A: No — only party members get drop rolls. AFK leeching doesn’t work.
